You will enjoy a half-day excursion on a comfortable 9-seater van with driver. The departure is from Lecce, at 9:00 in the morning or 2:30 in the afternoon.
The first stop of the tour is Porto Cesareo, then, Torre Uluzzo, a coastal tower originally born with defensive functions, which stands on a rock near to Porto Selvaggio.
Along the way you will admire Santa Caterina, with a hilly part called Le Cenate, characterized by villas and small churches. Other stops are: Santa Maria al Bagno and Le Quattro Colonne, whose name comes from the four lateral pillars that remained intact after the collapse of the Castle.
To conclude, a must-stop is Gallipoli, the pearl of the Ionian Sea, with its famous old town connected to the mainland by a seventeenth-century bridge. Walking around its historic centre you will visit historic buildings, churches, the Castle and the Basilica of Santa Agata.
